The Game:
All Brownies stand in a Circle. Each girl has a partner except for the
starter. Everyone starts counting loudly and slowly to 99. The odd Brownie out,
runs and takes a girl from one of the partnerships, then the girl that is left
runs and takes someone else, this continues until you reach number 85 when you
start to speed it up. The game continues until the last number is called 99
! the Brownie that is last gets to choose the next game.
Rules:
Girls must try not choose the girl beside them or the same person twice (unless
it is a small group).
Ideas:
This is a good game to fill in a small amount of time, It is also good to play
when joining with another Brownie Pack, the rules are then to choose a Brownie
from the other unit.
Dead
Ants
Materials: None
The Game:
Have 2 Home Base’s. 2 Brownies are chosen to be Spiders, all the other Brownies
are Ants. The Ants must try not to be caught. As soon as a Spider touches an
Ant they have to lay on their backs with their feet and arms up in the air.
In order to return to the game 4 other Ants must come to their rescue, each
taking an arm or leg they have to carry the ”dead ant” to the home base, then
she becomes alive again and continues the game. Spiders must not touch rescue
Ants once they are collecting the ‘dead ant’.
Rules:
Spiders cannot touch Ants that are helping a “dead ant” also they must not hang
around the Ant home base.
Ideas:
Play this game on grass or a soft surface. Keep an eye on any “dead ants” that
are not being collected and encourage the others to rescue her. Change the Spiders
every few minutes.
